"I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." (Hebrews 13:5)
In a season of waiting, it’s easy for feelings of loneliness to creep in. I remember a particular time in my life when I felt utterly isolated. Surrounded by friends who were in loving relationships, I often questioned why I was still single. One evening, as I sat in my favorite park, I noticed the beauty of the sunset, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink. Despite the beauty around me, I felt empty inside.

As I pulled out my Bible and began to read, my heart sank as I reflected on my situation. But then, I stumbled upon this reassuring promise from Hebrews: "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Those words washed over me like a refreshing wave, reminding me that God’s presence was with me, even in my loneliness.
A Reminder That You Are Not Alone
As I reflected on God’s promise, I realized that His presence is my anchor in every season of life—especially during times of waiting. It’s essential to understand that while we may not have the companionship we desire right now, we can lean into the reality that God is always with us. He sees our hearts and understands our struggles.
The truth is, we are never alone. Here are a few things to remember in your current season of singleness:
God is Your Constant Companion: Regardless of your circumstances, His presence is always available to comfort and guide you.
Seek His Presence: Spend time in prayer and scriptures; this will help cultivate a deeper relationship with Him.
Embrace Community: Surround yourself with fellow believers who encourage and uplift you on your journey.
Reflect on Past Faithfulness: Remember the times God proved His faithfulness in your life. This builds a foundation of trust for the future.
Finding Joy in His Presence
I began to shift my perspective during my lonely days. Instead of solely focusing on what I lacked, I sought to thrive in the beauty of each moment I had with Christ. Whether I was journaling my thoughts, reading scripture, or simply enjoying my own company, I chose to embrace the fact that He was right there beside me, filling my heart with peace and joy.
So, dear sister, as you navigate your season of singleness, remember that you are never alone. God’s promise is true and real. His presence is your anchor amid life’s storms. Every moment spent in His presence is a step toward deeper contentment and joy. Let that truth resonate in your heart today.
Before you go, I encourage you to reflect on this:
What does it mean to you to know God is always with you?
How can you intentionally seek His presence this week?
In what ways can you shift your focus from loneliness to gratitude for God’s companionship?
