Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
As a single Christian woman, waiting for marriage can often feel like a trial in itself. I recall a particularly tough season when I felt like I was carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders: friends getting engaged, family members asking about my love life, and that nagging feeling that I was somehow falling behind. It was in those moments of doubt and insecurity that God’s promise in Isaiah 41:10 echoed in my heart, reassuring me that I was not alone.

God’s Unwavering Support
Life can bring about many challenges, and if we reflect on our own experiences, we’ll find ourselves facing trials that test our faith. Whether it's loneliness, financial struggles, or the yearning for companionship, each of these can shake our spirit.
But during those challenging moments, remembering God’s unwavering support is crucial. When we meditate on the verse, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee,” we realize that God's presence is not just a promise, but a cornerstone in our faith. He reassures us that even in uncertainty, we are held securely in His hands.
God's Presence: Understand that you are never alone. God walks with you in every trial.
His Strength: Trust in His power to strengthen you. You don’t have to rely solely on your own abilities.
Help and Upholding: Remember that God actively supports and upholds you, especially during your weakest moments.
Walking in Faith
During my waiting season, I made an intentional choice to focus on God’s faithfulness rather than my circumstances. I started journaling my prayers, reflecting on how God had provided for me in the past, and seeking out scriptures that proclaimed His promises. This practice not only shifted my perspective but also deepened my faith. I learned that every trial was an opportunity to draw closer to God and lean on His everlasting strength.
As you navigate your own season of waiting, it’s essential to keep your eyes on His faithfulness.
Here are some practical steps to help you remember God’s promises:
Daily Prayer: Make it a habit to speak to God about your worries and joys.
Scripture Memorization: Commit verses about God’s faithfulness to memory, so they are readily available in times of need.
Community Support: Surround yourself with friends who encourage and uplift you in your faith journey.
God is always faithful, and through every trial, He remains steadfast. As you trust Him, He will not only carry you through your challenges but also help you grow and thrive in this season of your life.
Reflection
Take a moment to reflect upon a recent trial you’ve faced. How did you experience God’s faithfulness during that time? What is one actionable step you can take this week to strengthen your trust in Him?
