"Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost." Romans 15:13
As a single Christian woman navigating life, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the waiting and the uncertainties of the future. Just the other day, I found myself sitting in a quiet café, watching couples come in and out, each characterized by laughter, shared stories, and the companionship I so deeply desired. But within that moment of longing, I felt a gentle reminder whisper to my heart: peace is not found in a relationship, but in His love.

Love That Satisfies
When we focus on the waiting, it can often feel like a void that needs filling. We may wonder, “Will I ever find my partner?” But Romans 15:13 reminds us that peace and joy are found in the believing. Believing in God's promises fills our hearts with hope. I’ve experienced seasons where I questioned my worth and purpose, leading to feelings of loneliness. Yet, in those moments, I learned to turn to the Word and find comfort in His unfailing love.
The truth is, His love is the strongest foundation we can rely upon. It transcends our season of waiting. As we abide in that love, we begin to experience true peace that the world cannot give. It’s a peace that quiets our worries and reassures us that we are never alone.
Thriving in Your Season
Here are some practical ways to cultivate peace in His love during your time of waiting:
Spend time in the Word: Immerse yourself in scripture that speaks of His love and promises. Let these truths anchor your heart.
Practice gratitude: List the blessings in your life. Shifting focus from what is lacking to what you have can foster contentment.
Engage in community: Surround yourself with like-minded individuals who uplift you and remind you of God's love.
Embrace your passions: Dive into hobbies and interests that bring joy and fulfillment. This is a wonderful time to discover who you are in Christ.
Remember, singleness is not a time of lack, but an opportunity to grow deeper in your relationship with God. Embrace the quiet moments with Him, and allow His love to fill your heart with the peace you seek.
As you reflect on this, consider:
What specific areas of your life are you seeking peace in?
How can you intentionally draw close to God in this season?
Let His love wash over you and fill you with hope, knowing that you are cherished and valued, just as you are.
