But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. ~ Isaiah 40:31

I remember a dear friend who was encouraging me in my season of waiting to trust in the Lord. There will always be something to wait on. She shared that getting married didn't solve all the waiting problems. There was always something else to wait on, such as getting pregnant. She had to wait 5 years for the first blessing to come along.
I've certainly waited a long time for a relationship, I've found other circumstances in my life where I needed to learn how to wait. It can be frustrating to say the least. It seems like our culture is designed for speed.
We have instant messaging, fast food, and endless streaming options at our fingertips. Yet, in stark contrast to that, God often calls us to wait. It can feel burdensome and frustrating, especially when we're yearning for a change, or maybe even a specific season in our lives – like a relationship, a job, or a deeper understanding of our purpose.
Isaiah 40:31 reminds us that "they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength." This scripture doesn't just hint at waiting; it encourages us to see waiting as a significant part of our faith journey. It’s in these waiting periods that God does some of His best work in us. When we’re waiting, let’s remember that God’s timing is always perfect. He sees the big picture, unlike us. While we may feel stuck or restless, God might be fine-tuning us for something extraordinary on the horizon.
Have you ever noticed how a lot of growth happens in the silent moments? It’s often when we’re waiting that we can truly lean into our relationship with God. Have you used this time to press closer to Him? I encourage you to take a step back, breathe, and seek His presence. It’s during these times that we uncover who we are in Him, beyond what we do or who we’re with.
So, my dear sister, let’s change our perspective on waiting. Instead of viewing it as wasted time, let’s see it as a divine appointment filled with purpose. God is preparing you for amazing things, even if you can’t see them just yet. Take heart and trust His timing. Together, we can embrace this precious season of waiting, knowing it's a time to renew our strength in Him. Let’s lean in and see what beautiful things He has planned!
