"The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him." - Lamentations 3:25

As a single Christian woman, you may often find yourself in a season of waiting—waiting for a relationship, a calling, or even clarity about your future. In such moments, it’s easy to feel disheartened or even overlooked by God. But remember, dear sister, God has not forgotten you.
Waiting is seldom glamorous but it's rich in purpose! Think of a seed buried in the ground; it requires time, nurturing, and patience to grow into a thriving plant. Much like that seed, you are in a period of development, preparing to blossom into everything God created you to be.
Consider the story of Rachel, a single woman who dedicated herself to her career and church community while waiting for the right partner. Instead of letting her singleness define her, she used this time to deepen her relationship with God. Rachel spent hours in prayer and worship, actively seeking His voice and purpose for her life. It was in this waiting period that she found comfort and fulfillment, understanding that each moment was a precious opportunity to grow closer to God.
God does not waste our waiting. He uses it to mold our character, teach us resilience, and reveal our passions. The question is, are we willing to thrive in our waiting seasons?
Reflection Prompts
What specific areas of your life are you currently waiting on God? How can you lean into Him during this time?
Reflect on personal growth during your waiting season. What new skills or experiences have you gained while waiting?
While waiting may not be easy, take heart! The LORD is good to those who wait for Him. Embrace this unique season. Seek Him earnestly, and you will find that He is right there with you, guiding and loving you every step of the way. Remember, it’s not about being in a relationship; it’s about being in a relationship with God. You are exactly where you need to be.
