This is another biography of a woman of faith which really encouraged me! This book covers her life immediately following her release from a Nazi concentration camp, where she witnessed unimaginable evil and lost most of her family. Seeing a woman who went through horrific events turn around and use it to glorify God is such a great testimony.
She used her pain to show others the love of God and share what God did with the world, being fully devoted to God's calling on her life. The greatest testimony in the book is her radical commitment to forgiveness. She recounts the incredible, painful struggles of forgiving her former captors and Nazi collaborators, demonstrating that forgiveness is an act of the will, made possible only by God's grace.
The title refers to her becoming a 'Tramp for the Lord,' traveling to over 60 countries and living simply, sharing her story in churches and streets. Her central message—that 'there is no pit so deep that God's love is not deeper still'—is a powerful and raw look at what it means to be totally dependent on God.

Quote from the book
"For a long moment we grasped each other's hands, the former guard and the former prisoner. I had never known God's love so intensely as I did then. But even so, I realized it was not my love. I had tried, and did not have the power. It was the power of the Holy Spirit."
